The Sunshine Club

A new production of Wesley Enoch’s The Sunshine Club, commissioned by Queensland Theatre who were also the original commissioning company for the first production mounted in 1999 in Brisbane and subsequently presented by Sydney theatre Company in 2000 as part of Robyn Nevin’s first season as artistic director. The original production was directed by Wesley Enoch with sets and costumes designed by Richard Roberts and lighting by Matt Scott. For this new production, Wesley again directed, sets were designed by Jacob Nash, costumes by Richard Roberts and lighting by Ben Hughes. Wayne Freer was musical director for both productions. The new production opened in July 2022 in the Playhouse at Queensland Performing Arts Centre – the same theatre where the original production had premiered in 1999
